The Bergen Street Townhouse is a 20-foot wide Italianate brownstone located in historic Park Slope, Brooklyn. The house was completely gut-renovated, resulting in a four-bedroom, three-bathroom property with a rental apartment on the garden level. Structural walls were removed from the parlor level to create an open plan for the kitchen, dining, and living areas. A table-level fireplace in the kitchen, a freestanding bathtub, brightly painted wainscoting, and vintage furnishings set the scene for a distinct home. A large steel and glass window wall, inserted into the rear of the house, opens up the parlor level to a new deck and the garden below.
